Precise flow measurement
Our customers must be able to precisely measure and control fluids with various properties. We supply them with suitable control valves, dosing systems and flow meter/pump combinations.
Thermal flow measurement
When liquid flows through a heated tube, it absorbs heat and cools the material. By recording how much additional energy is required to keep the tube at the original temperature, the flow rate can be calculated. The thermal principle is suitable for processes in which mass rather than volume is important.
Coriolis flow measurement
When liquid flows through a constantly oscillating tube, it causes a certain change in deflection. This change enables the flow rate to be measured directly. The density of the fluid can be measured in this way. The Coriolis principle is particularly useful when the composition of a fluid changes or proportions are unknown.
Ultrasonic flow measurement
In ultrasonic flow measurement, sensors determine the flow velocity of a liquid through a straight tube. If this value is multiplied by the known pipe cross-section, the volumetric flow rate is obtained. This technology is ideal for changing process conditions and the use of different liquids.
Pressure measurement
The pressure sensors from Bronkhorst, which we offer exclusively in Austria, are a piezoresistive bridge on the surface of a silicon chip. When pressure is applied to the chip, its membrane bends and the resistance values change in proportion to the pressure. This enables absolute, relative or differential pressure measurement.
